(1) The holder of a test pilot rating issued in terms of sub-regulations 61.19.1 (1) and 61.19.1 (2) must be rated as PIC within the category of aircraft, on the type or within the class of aircraft for any test flight, other than on an experimental prototype aircraft test flight as indicated below.
(2) No person shall act as test pilot of an aircraft requiring a test flight, as defined below, unless he or she is the holder of a valid pilot’s license with a test pilot rating.
